Biography & Style:
Ellie Holstein was born and raised in Russia where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. She has been in the United States for 17 years. During this time Ellie graduated from Global College of Natural Medicine in California and became a nutritional consultant. Ellie also worked for Vitamin World, as a consultant, helping people to explore natural remedies for optimum health.
In 2005 Ellie received training in Italy for Hatha yoga and became a yoga teacher registered with Yoga Alliance of USA. Ellie is currently teaching classes at the YMCA and private classes as well.
Ellie has received continued training through a Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction in Mind-Body Medicine 8-week training of Jon Kabat-Zinn and Saki Santorelli and through numerous retreats and teachings.
Ellie’s integration of mindfulness, and embodiment practices include yoga, meditation, yoga therapy, nutrition and natural healing.
Although mainly teaching mindful yoga, Ellie receives ongoing guidance and training in the Tibetan Buddhist Tradition. Her firsthand experience of the benefits of mindfulness fuels her deep respect for the practice, and her commitment to sharing it with others.
She has been in the field of whole body health education for over 25 years.
Offerings:Mindful Yoga at The Center Tuesdays 9:15-10:15 am. Gentle class focused on mindful movement paired with breath to release tension, increase strength and flexibility, & restore your natural state of health and vitality. $72 for 8 weeks ($9/class) Drop In’s are always welcome $10/class Private or Semi- Private Classes also available for $30/ hour.
