Biography & Style:

My name is Tina Frank and I am a psychiatric clinical nurse specialist with a current interest and specialization in the field of positive aging for mind, body and spirit.
Positive aging is a term used to describe the process of maintaining a positive attitude, feeling good about yourself, keeping healthy and fit, finding meaning and purpose, and engaging fully in life as you age. It is about you embracing “what is” versus resisting it.

I have been working in the field of health and wellness for the mind, body and spirit since 1986. I’ve been in private practice since 1999. I became certified in the field of positive psychology in 2012 via the Wholebeing Institute, Massachusetts.

Instead of providing therapy, I like to assist and guide clients, via partnering or team approach in teaching them to become healthier, happier, and less afraid to take their next step. I will teach scientifically-based tools necessary to become more confident, less anxious, more resilient, less depressed, more optimistic, more spiritually connected, and overall physically healthier. I can assist in helping others to discover their meaning/purpose, feel more connected in their relationships, and to discover their strengths/ vulnerabilities leading to more joy and peace.

Dealing with anxiety all of my life, I am all about the concepts “permission to be human” and “asking for what you need”. My approach can be unconventional at times in that I enjoy walking and talking, sitting outside, laughter and fun, as well as working with you via your learning style.
